Wrestling Society X #9 (The end?)

-So, this grand experiment (both WSX *and* me, Captain Lazy, doing six recaps in six days) is coming to an end. And what did we learn? Wrestling is more fun with explosions. A thirty minute wrestling show is better paced (and booked) than it's one hour TNA counterpart. That I have too much free time. And so it goes…

-Tonight, Alkatrazz & Luke Hawx face Arik Cannon & Vic Grimes. Scorpio Sky versus 6-Pac and Jack Evans goes against the Human Tornado!

-Montage.

-Styles P performs.

-Clips from last week's title match.

Alkatrazz & Luke Hawx v. Arik Cannon & Vic Grimes (w/Nic Grimes) -

Hawx takes control over Cannon early. He ducks his head, though, and Cannon plants him with a swinging neckbreaker. They trade strikes and Cannon hits his elevated swinging neckbreaker, picking up a two count in the process. Grimes tags in. He whips Luke into the ropes, but gets taken over with a headscissors. Say what you will about Grimes, but he's certainly willing to bump around for smaller guys. Luke nails him with a spin kick, but Grimes comes right back with...a slam of some sort. Or a blown spot. Not sure, really. At any rate, Alkatrazz tags in and we have the battle of the big men! Okay, that didn't really deserve the exclamation point.

He charges Grimes, who hoists him up into a swinging facebuster. He heads up top, but Alkatrazz cuts him off. They grab a knucklelock and Grimes *walks the ropes* , coming off with a legdrop across Alkatrazz's outstretched arm. Nutty spot for a guy that big. Tag to Cannon. He starts working the arm (Holy crap! Psychology in WSX?), but Alkatrazz slams him. Luke tags back in and knocks Grimes off the apron. Grimes comes in and jumps him. He and Cannon press Luke, then turn it into a wicked looking spinebuster. Alkatrazz breaks up the pin and tosses Grimes out.

They brawl on the floor, with Grimes reversing a whip and sending Alkatrazz into the steps. Back in the ring, Luke spikes Cannon with a Death Valley Driver. On the floor, Alkatrazz and Grimes fight near the WSX logo, which is made of lighttubes. This won't end well. Sure enough, Grimes goes into it and it goes BOOM! Alkatrazz rolls back in. He picks Cannon up on his shoulders and Luke connects with a Doomsday dropkick. Cannon damn near lands on his head. Luke covers and a winner is he!

-Commercials

-Lacey interviews Los Pochos Guapos. After last week's attack, Aguilera challenges The Cartel to a Piranha Deathmatch on next week's show. You know, the one we'll probably never see?

Scorpio Sky v. 6-Pac -

Scorpio attacks Pac before he can even get into the ring. He connects with a dropkick and looks to follow with a 'rana. Pac counters it into a powerbomb, though. He hits his snap legdrop and connects with a spin kick in the corner. Bronco Buster by Pac. He adds another spin kick and gets two. He charges, but Scorp tosses him out. Scorp goes for a pescado, but eats a kick for his troubles. Pac lifts him and crotches him on the post. Back in, Pac misses a somersault senton off the top. Sky punches away at him in the corner. Pac gives him a low blow. X-Factor follows and that's the end of that chapter.

That was...sudden. Not sure why you'd put Pac over Scorpio Sky that quickly, even in the ADD world of WSX.

-Lacey is early for her interview with Lizzy Valentine, because the last match ended "unexpectedly early." Lizzy yells at Matt Sydal to put his shirt on and they sit down for the interview. Lacey asks about the rumors of something going on between Lizzy and 6-Pac. Sydal gets pissed and Lizzy ends up storming off.

Jack Evans v. Human Tornado -

First, we get clips of the dance off from last week. I need to hit up the video sites to find this, I guess. Or, I can just watch my TV, as it looks like another dance contest is about to break out. Evans isn't down with that at the moment, slapping Tornado and grabbing a rear waistlock. Tornado dances free. He shoots Evans into the ropes and goes for a hiptoss. Evans lands on his feet, though. Tornado ducks a clothesline and catches him with a leg lariat. He whips Evans into the ropes and ducks his head. Evans rolls over him and nails him with a spin kick. He follows with a dropkick that sends Tornado to the floor. Evans feints a somersault plancha, holding the ropes and flipping onto the apron instead. He then dives off the apron with a knee strike and gets two.

-Commercials. Goddamn is Joss Stone ever a lovely woman. And yeah, she can sing her ass off, too. Add her to this list of my future (imaginary) wives...

During the break, wrestlers FLIPPED! Including a standing Phoenix splash by Evans. Back to "live" action, as Tornado plants Evans with a diving Tornado DDT. Cover gets two. He picks him up for a DND, but Evans rolls free and spikes him with a reverse 'rana for a nearfall of his own. He slams Tornado, but misses a springboard corkscrew 450° splash. Tornado sets him up for an inverted DDT, then drives him down on his knee twice. He rolls it into a Dragon sleeper. Evans struggles towards the ropes, but Tornado drives him across his knee once again and goes back to the Dragon sleeper, adding a bodyscissors for good measure.

Suddenly, the bell rings and Fabian Kaelin (the ring announcer) declares the match a time limit draw. He's acting all heelish and confusion runs rampant. Guess we'll never see where this was going. Crowd chants "Let them finish!" proving that even the fake "pretty/emo" wrestling fans that MTV specifically drafted to make up the WSX crowd can be drawn into the drama of an exciting match.

-Lacey is with Matt Classic. Ryan Sakoda walks up and whispers in his ear and he walks off. Looks like Lacey is interviewing Team Dragon Gate instead. They challenge The Filth and the Fury to an Exploding Cage Deathmatch on next week's show. That cage probably would have blown up real pretty, too.

-Next week...no more stuff, I guess.
