And the axe continues to fall...

It's a bit late to be doing the spring cleaning, but that's not stopping WWE from releasing half of the roster. Meltz figures on another 8 to 10 cuts before the dust settles. Here is the list of the guys who have been cut, with expert analysis by your's truly as to where they might end up. Hahaha...expert. Hahaha...analysis.

Dudley Boys - I'm actually quite interested to see where they wind up. Will Gabe milk the former ECW ties and try to get them into ROH, despite how poorly they'd fit in? Will they run the grand indy gauntlet, again popping through a bunch of companies where they just won't stylistically work? TNA bound? Can they afford it? They'd be a lock for any of the Shane Douglas promoted ECW shows, if they actually tour with it. Probably the biggest names cut and definitely the guys with the murkiest future...

Matt Morgan - I wouldn't be particularly surprised to see him and/or Jindrak pop up in All Japan Pro Wrestling as part of the RO&D clique. Jamal is super over, so why not Matt Morgan? Well, other than the part where Jamal was actually a decent worker beforehand. Morgan? Not so much.

Charlie Haas/Jackie Gayda - If Jackie does pop up again, seems like she would do so with Haas. Out of all of the names released so far, Haas should be the big winner. He could easily show up in all the big indies, TNA or work comfortably in Japan. As long as I get to see a match versus James Gibson somewhere down the line, I'll be happy with wherever he decided to show his face.

Marty Jannetty - Damn. So much for a rematch with Angle. The first was a MOTYC, so I was really hoping to see part deux. Don't really see him doing much more than he was before he with WWE (or during, for that matter).

Dawn Marie - Don't think we'll be seeing her around anymore. Maybe an indy date here and there, but I wouldn't be surprised if she stays home with her baby.

Mark Jindrak - See Matt Morgan. Definitely see him going to AJPW. He's much more athletic than Morgan, though, so TNA might be willing to give him a look.

Maven - Does the taint of Tough Enough stick to him? Does the fact that he's barely improved since he won Tough Enough stick to him? Another wild card. TNA might sign him just because he was in WWE. Of course, stupid smarky bitches say that about *EVERY* WWE release.

Shannon Moore - Almost certainly TNA bound, as he's a perfect fit with the current X Division crew. Or, maybe he'll be Matt Hardy's butler. OH HO HO! I'm funny!

Akio - Could show up literally anywhere. I'd like to see him do a nice indy tour before heading to Japan, though.

Gangrel - Like Janetty, I don't think he'll be doing much more than he was before he signed with WWE. In other words...nothing.

Billy Kidman - If I were him, I'd live off of my wife's fortune and sit around playing video games all day. Unfortunately, I'm not him.

Spike Dudley - I'm sure he'll pop up wherever his "brothers" do. Another guy who'd be a lock for an ECW reunion tour.

Kevin Fertig - Honestly? Who cares?

Whoa! Just in the time it took me to write all of this, two more people got released, namely Kenzo & Hiroko Suzuki. Can't imagine that he doesn't have a spot in New Japan waiting for him. Sad to see Hiroko going. Her milkshake, after all, brings all the boys to the yard...
